CCCC celebrates 8th anniversary of China-Maldives Friendship Bridge with local residents

The China-Maldives Friendship Bridge celebrates its 8th anniversary. CCCC volunteers joined locals for Engineers' Day. Kids drew bridges, tried chopsticks, and tasted Chinese food. From engineering to culture, friendship grows stronger with time.


On August 30, the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge celebrated its 8th anniversary of opening to traffic, which coincided with Maldives National Engineers' Day. Volunteers from the CCCC maintenance project joined local residents to celebrate this landmark achievement of bilateral cooperation.


At the event, the "I Am a Bridge Designer" activity drew many children, who eagerly drew their own visions of bridges, tried using chopsticks, and tasted Chinese cuisine. Under their young brushes emerged bridges of friendship connecting the two nations.


One bridge, eight years of friendship. From engineering cooperation to cultural exchange, China-Maldives friendship continues to extend with the bridge, growing ever stronger with time. Let's take a look!
