Recently, the Reem Island Bridges 7 and 8 Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE, constructed by CHEC, was opened to traffic.
As a core project in Abu Dhabi's urban development, the project features two new single-carriageway simply supported sea-crossing bridges with a total span exceeding 1.5 kilometers and a maximum main span of 63 meters. The bridges have a traffic capacity of up to 7,200 vehicles per hour, reducing regular travel time by 15 minutes during peak hours. They will help establish a multi-dimensional transportation network connecting Reem Island and Abu Dhabi, and are expected to increase regional traffic efficiency by over 40%.
