Recently, the south side span of the Xiangshan Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, part of the Ningbo-Xiangshan Suburban Railway Project undertaken by CCCC, was successfully closed.

The bridge, with a total length of about 8.3 kilometers, has set several records, including China's first cross-sea railway bridge for suburban travel.

Throughout construction, the project team overcame challenges such as strong offshore winds and dense maritime traffic. By deploying an intelligent monitoring system with over 500 sensors for real-time tracking of beam alignment, and using BIM technology to simulate and predict closure difficulties, the team ensured construction precision.

Once completed and opened to traffic, the project will reduce travel time between downtown Ningbo and Xiangshan County to just 30 minutes, playing a vital role in advancing the development of the Ningbo metropolitan area and establishing a key artery for regional growth.
