On September 28, the Nairobi Expressway in Kenya, invested, built and operated by CRBC, surpassed 100 million cumulative vehicle trips. This milestone underscores the role of the first toll expressway in East Africa in improving local transport and driving economic growth.

The expressway connects downtown Nairobi with Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, cutting travel time from nearly two hours to less than 20 minutes. Average weekday traffic stands at around 85,000 vehicles.

The project has cut logistics costs and improved traffic flow, while creating thousands of local jobs and training skilled professionals in transport operations and management.

The Kenyan government and the public have praised the expressway's performance. President William Ruto has repeatedly called it a catalyst for economic growth and regional integration, highlighting its role in boosting commercial activity along the route and advancing regional economic integration. Local residents and commuters have also praised its efficiency, convenience and safety.
