Recently, the Kabar National News Agency published a special report on the Cholpon-Ata Wastewater Treatment Plant project, undertaken by CRBC.

Located in the heart of Issyk-Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan's most renowned tourist destination, the plant has a daily treatment capacity of 14,200 cubic meters. It will provide wastewater treatment for Cholpon-Ata, three nearby villages, as well as surrounding sanatoriums, resorts and other facilities.

As a modern wastewater treatment facility, the plant will use biological treatment technology to raise the purification rate to 98 percent. The treated water and sludge will be used for agricultural irrigation and fertilization. Green technologies will help protect Issyk-Kul Lake's ecosystem while supporting local tourism and sustainable economic and social development.

The facility is scheduled for completion in April 2027, three months ahead of schedule, and will be operational before the peak tourist season. About 50 percent of the construction work has been completed.
