Recently, the first phase of Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), the Kota Bharu-Gombak section, built by CCCC, began dynamic testing and trial operations. Overall construction progress has exceeded 95 percent.

Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook warmly congratulated the project on reaching this major milestone. He expressed hope that the railway would be completed and opened at an early date, allowing it to play its important role in driving Malaysia's economic and social development as soon as possible.

The first cohort of 66 graduates from the PLKI-ECRL Work-Based Academic Program for the ECRL project took part in the trial operations after completing an 18-day pre-job training program.

The 66 trainees cover key operational positions, including locomotive maintenance, signaling inspection and assistant station operations. The experience enabled them to put their classroom knowledge into practice and gain valuable experience for their future involvement in the operation of the ECRL.
