This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Yangtze River protection initiative. Over the past decade, CCCC has been deeply involved in ecological restoration and conservation efforts across the Yangtze River basin, helping safeguard the river's pristine waters.

Cutting off pollution at the source: Over 31 kilometers of new pipelines now separate rainwater from sewage, plugging all illegal discharge points. Every drop of domestic and industrial wastewater is routed to treatment plants — ending decades of direct dumping into the Yangtze.

Reviving the river's "lungs": Massive dredging and the restoration of underwater plant communities are bringing the waterways back to life. The lakes are breathing again, with their natural self‑cleaning power fully restored.

Reconnecting the water web: Three major urban lakes have been linked up, and over 20 kilometers of tributary channels restored. The ancient rhythm of rivers, lakes, and canals flowing as one is back.

Protecting river guardians: In close coordination with the Tian'e Zhou Nature Reserve, the project ensures clean water upstream and safe habitats downstream — safeguarding finless porpoises and elk, two iconic species that depend on a healthy Yangtze.
