Recently, the twin-tube breakthrough of the Iriski Venac Tunnel, a critical component of the Novi Sad-Ruma Expressway in Serbia constructed by CRBC, was achieved, laying a solid foundation for the project's full completion as scheduled. With a total length of approximately 3.5 kilometers and a maximum burial depth exceeding 220 meters, it is the longest tunnel in Serbia.
The project team successfully overcame geological complexities often described as an "encyclopedia of geological challenges" through systematic optimization of construction planning, strengthened whole-process control, and various innovative approaches, creating a safe, convenient, and green future road.
Once opened, travel time through the Fruška Gora mountain range will be dramatically reduced from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes. This will greatly improve public mobility and strongly boost regional logistics, industry, and tourism, injecting new and strong impetus into the social and economic development of Serbia.
