With the breakthrough of the Genting Tunnel, the ECRL project has now entered its final stage.

Recently, the Genting Tunnel, a key project of Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), achieved full breakthrough, marking the completion of excavation works. Stretching 16.39 kilometers, it is now the longest railway tunnel in Southeast Asia.
Throughout construction, the CCCC project team overcame a series of world-class challenges — including high ground stress, elevated temperatures, high water pressure, and long-distance ventilation — achieving continuous breakthroughs in equipment optimization, technological innovation, and construction management to ensure safe and efficient progress.
