Upon completion, the project will significantly boost Tema Port's container handling capacity.

Recently, the Tian Kun Hao, Asia's largest cutter-suction dredger, arrived at Tema Port, Ghana, after a 54-day voyage and has officially begun dredging operations.
Tema Port is Ghana's largest port and one of the most important cargo hubs in West Africa. The Tian Kun Hao boasts a maximum dredging depth of 35 meters and a design dredging capacity of 6,000 cubic meters per hour. The current operation covers an area of approximately 700,000 square meters, with a total dredged volume of about 2.8 million cubic meters. The vessel will demonstrate its advanced capabilities in hard-rock excavation, long-distance slurry delivery, eco-friendly operation, and intelligent dredging control.
Upon completion, the project will significantly boost Tema Port's container handling capacity, strengthening its role as a regional logistics hub and driving trade facilitation and economic integration across West Africa.
