Kenyan media hails SGR as model for green transport

Kenyan media outlets including The Standard, The People Daily, and The Business Daily have recently published reports highlighting the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR)'s achievements in sustainability and ESG disclosure, praising it as a model of green transport in the country.
Constructed by CRBC, Kenya's SGR consists of the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway and the first phase of the Nariobi-Malaba Railway. The 472-kilometer Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway opened on May 31, 2017, while the 120-kilometer first phase of the 487.5-kilometer Nariobi-Malaba Railway entered service on October 16, 2019.
