In early January, ZPMC delivered the "Erhang Changqing" pile-driving vessel, the world's largest pile-driving vessel, marking a significant milestone in China's offshore engineering and construction sector.
Measuring 130.5 meters in length with a 150-meter-high piling frame, the vessel is capable of driving piles up to 7 meters in diameter and weighing 700 tons. Compared to conventional vessels, the "Erhang Changqing" pile-driving vessel is greener and smarter. It features a hybrid power system with permanent magnet motors, making it more fuel-efficient and significantly reducing carbon emissions.
Before piling begins, the vessel automatically calculates the positioning accuracy of the piles. During operation, it provides real-time safety monitoring, automated workflow detection, and on-the-spot construction reporting. Additionally, it achieves centimeter-level positioning precision even in deep-sea environments.
