Recently, the new terminal at Ethiopia's Wako Gutu Airport, constructed by CCCC, was officially opened for operations.
Located in the southeastern Oromia region, the airport is situated near two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Bale Mountains National Park and the Sof Omar Caves. The opening of the terminal is expected to significantly boost local tourism and business development, while also impacting the flight network in Ethiopia.
The Governor of Oromia stated that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia has shown great interest in the airport's construction and personally instructed that it be named after General Wotetu.
Mesfin Tasew Bekele, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, highly praised CCCC for its work on the airport and presented the company with a certificate of completion. He expressed that the new terminal, a modern facility, will provide high-quality services to passengers.
