The terminal's automation is expected to significantly increase operational efficiency, with the first phase estimated to handle one million TEUs annually.

India's first automated port terminal, located in Kerala, Kerala, has officially commenced operations.
ZPMC, a subsidiary of CCCC, supplied the terminal with eight quayside cranes and 24 dual-trolley rail-mounted gantry cranes. It also installed various digital systems, including equipment management, terminal management, gate control, and cold storage management systems.
The terminal's automation is expected to significantly increase operational efficiency, with the first phase estimated to handle one million TEUs annually, injecting new energy into India's logistics and transportation sector.
