Recently, the Uganda Masindi-Tangi Junction-Paraa (MTP) Project achieved significant progress with the completion of new sections, including roads leading to the gate of the Murchison Falls National Park, roads in Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), and roads in Masindi and Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba (UPIK). With these additions, the project has now completed a total of 173.6 kilometers of road.
As the core infrastructure project for the Albertine Graben oil field road network and the first asphalt road within the Murchison Falls National Park, the MTP project has consistently adhered to environmentally friendly principles, aiming to create a road that harmonizes with the park's natural beauty.
The successful completion of these sections enhances the transportation network in Masindi, Buliisa, and Pakwach, boosting local tourism and promoting socio-economic development in the surrounding areas.
