The Maersk San Fernando has docked, marking the official start of operations at the Vizhinjam Port constructed by ZPMC! This is India's first large-scale deepwater and container transshipment port, featuring an automated terminal. The quay crane at the terminal has a lifting height of 53 meters, setting a new record for quay crane lifting height in India.

The commissioning of this equipment is set to enhance operational efficiency and safety at this port, with the first phase projected to handle an annual throughput of 1 million TEUs, infusing new vitality into the global logistics and transportation sector.
