Peru's Chancay Port receives first batch of automated port equipment
The first batch of equipment, including 5 automated rail-mounted gantry cranes and 3 driverless container vehicles, designed and manufactured by ZPMC, has successfully arrived. This initiative supports the development of a smart, advanced, green, and low-carbon port hub and logistics center, making Chancay Port one of the most important in South America. The project has already completed key milestones such as the breakwater and four berth terminals, with subsequent phases focusing on storage yard, building, and MEP installations.
First Metro Line of Bogota begins first station construction
Construction has commenced on the building of Station 6 using Chinese construction standards and advanced BIM technology. The 23.86-kilometer-long the Metro Line will feature 16 stations and 28 ancillary structures, with a total construction area of approximately 320,000 square meters.
Main section of Jordan's project of upgrading and rebuilding the Al-Salt/Al-Ardah Road completed
The 12.5-kilometer-long project is the nearest route connecting the Jordan Valley, a major fruit and vegetable production area, to the city of Salt. This road facilitates the transportation of fruit and vegetable to the capital, Amman, and then to various regions across the country and neighboring countries. The upgraded road significantly improves travel convenience and efficiency.
Iraq's dredging project of the Khor al-Zubair immersed tunnel commences
The immersed tunnel will be a vital link between the Faw Grand Port to the Umm Qasr Port, becoming Iraq's first underwater tunnel. This project aims to enhance Iraq's port infrastructure and contribute to regional economic recovery.
ECRL project advances smoothly
Construction on the Gomback Station has begun, the first seamless track section has been successfully completed, and the TBM 1 of the Genting Tunnel has exceeded 7,000 meters in progress.
The section of the railway constructed by CCCC extends over 665 kilometers. The Gomback Station, situated on the edge of the world's longest quartz formation, is in close proximity to Kuala Lumpur and effectively serves as a station for the capital. The Genting Tunnel, a critical project for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), stretches 16.39 kilometers and is being constructed using two tunnel boring machines. Upon completion, it will be the longest tunnel in Southeast Asia.
The ECRL by CCCC will serve as a "land bridge" connecting the east and west coasts of the Malay Peninsula. Passenger trains will operate at speeds of 160 km/h, while freight trains will run at 80 km/h. This project aims to provide comfortable and convenient travel and freight services, promoting balanced development between Malaysia's east and west coasts.
Main section of National Road 13 South Extension Improvement and Maintenance Project of Laos completed
The 78-kilometer-long National Road 13 connects the provinces of Bolihamxay and Khammouane in Laos. The project includes upgrading the original asphalt double-surface road and improving drainage facilities.
Tunnel No. 5 of Angat Water Transmission Improvement Project in the Philippines completed
This project will significantly enhance the safety and flexibility of the water supply system in the Greater Manila area. The completion of the tunnel also provides valuable experience for refurbishing other tunnels. The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), BusinessWorld, PTV, and Frontline Pilipinas have all covered the completion ceremony.
Mainline of Section 1 of Odienne Border Road Project Between Mali and Guinea in Côte d'Ivoire successfully completed
Upon completion, the travel time from Odienne to the Malian border will be reduced from 3 hours to 1.5 hours, and from Odienne to the Guinean border town of Mingnan from 2 hours to 45 minutes. This will greatly facilitate local travel and the transportation of agricultural products along the route.
