The Dok Champa, the national flower of Laos, symbolizes hope and renewal. Phouxay was born in a place where these flowers bloom abundantly.
Graduating from Shandong University in China in 2006, Phouxay joined China International Water and Electric Corporation (CWE) in 2014. He has since participated in the construction of three hydroelectric power stations in Laos, focusing on social environment, watershed management, and external liaison work.
CWE places significant emphasis on developing local talent and enhancing their professional skills. Phouxay is one of the many who have benefited from this approach. Over the past decade, he has grown from an ordinary employee to a management position within the company.
“This is a big family, a team that is dynamic and forward-looking. It's an excellent platform for growth,” Phouxay often says when referring to CWE.
Phouxay has a deep appreciation for Chinese traditional culture, and the company has leveraged his proficiency in Chinese, providing him with numerous opportunities to showcase his talents. In March 2024, Phouxay participated in the "I Show ASEAN" China-ASEAN Youth Story Collection, where he eloquently shared his experiences with CWE in fluent Chinese.
