CCCC has been actively involved in Serbia's infrastructure development, making significant contributions to the country's socio-economic growth. Let's take a look at some major projects:
E763 highway
The E763 highway in Serbia spans approximately 265 kilometers, serving as a crucial link to the Montenegrin coast. CCCC is responsible for constructing around 131 kilometers of this highway, divided into four sections: the Surcin-Obrenovac section completed in December 2019, the New Belgrade-Surcin section opened in April 2023, the Preljina-Pozega section currently under construction, and the Pozega to Duga Poljana section in the design and planning stages. The New Belgrade to Surcin section is the starting segment of the E763 highway, stretching 7.9 kilometers. Its completion has integrated major cities in southwestern Serbia into Belgrade's one-hour economic circle, benefiting over 4 million people.
Budapest–Belgrade railway
The railway connects Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and Budapest, the capital of Hungary, and is an electrified mixed railroad. The total length is nearly 350 kilometers, with 183 kilometers within Serbia. Once fully operational, travel time between the two capitals will be reduced from 8 hours to 3 hours.
The Belgrade-Novi Sad section in Serbia, which opened in March 2022, covers approximately 80 kilometers, reducing travel time between the two cities from 90 minutes to 30 minutes. In two years, this section has transported over 6.83 million passengers, significantly improving transport quality and efficiency.
Zemun-Borca Bridge
In December 2015, the 1,482-meter Zemun-Borca Bridge, spanning the Danube River, was opened. This bridge ended the 70-year period during which Belgrade had only one bridge over the Danube. The travel time from Belgrade city center to Borca was reduced from one hour to ten minutes. The bridge and its linking-up roads span about 21.26 kilometers and feature six lanes.
During the construction, CCCC trained local engineering managers and technical personnel, fostering a skilled workforce in Serbia's construction industry.
Project Clean Serbia
The Project Clean Serbia involves the renovation and construction of sewage networks and wastewater treatment systems across 93 areas in 73 cities in Serbia. Launched in October 2021, this project has played a positive role in protecting water bodies in Serbia and promoting water safety.
Chinese industrial park in Belgrade
The park, covering 320 hectares, includes an industrial zone, an international trade center, and a high-tech park. It aims to establish a new high-tech industrial base and an integrated urban area in Serbia.
Novi Sad-Ruma Expressway
The Novi Sad-Ruma Expressway in northern Serbia spans approximately 47.7 kilometers. It includes a major bridge over the Danube and a 3.5-kilometer tunnel, which will be the longest in Serbia. This expressway will significantly improve transportation in northern Serbia, facilitating travel and regional development.
Linglong Tire's Factory
Located in the free trade zone in Zrenjanin, 60 kilometers from Belgrade, the Linglong Tire's Factory has completed 96% of its overall construction. This project is vital for Serbia's tire industry and the trade relations between China and Serbia.
