Recently, two projects under CCCC, the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project and the Penang 275 kV transmission line project, have achieved significant progress.
ECRL
The first segment of the track laying, spanning 92.5 kilometers and passing through five stations including Kuantan Port, Cherating, Chukai, Kemasik, and Kuala Dungun, has been completed. Employing innovative techniques, the project team used the CCPG-500A railway track laying machine to finish the work 23 days ahead of schedule.
Penang 275 kV transmission line project
The installation of the first tower, P16, was completed. With a height of 60 meters, it consists of six segments, each measuring 7 to 12 meters in length and weighing between 9 and 21 tons. Through safety training, and hoisting simulations, the project team successfully completed the installation of the first tower at sea.
