Ethiopian Prime Minister inaugurates the Gode Ugaz Mirad Airport

The opening of the airport will further strengthen the connection between the Somali region and Addis Ababa.
Recently, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed inaugurated CCCC-built Gode Ugaz Mirad Airport in Somali region.
Ribbon-cutting ceremony
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Prime Minister Abiy praised the quality of the airport, calling it one of the most beautiful airports in Ethiopia.
Located in the Somali region of Ethiopia, the airport is 1,200 kilometers from Addis Ababa. The construction includes a new terminal building, an apron, and supporting facilities.
The opening of the airport will further strengthen the connection between the Somali region and Addis Ababa, improve regional transportation conditions, and play a significant role in promoting economic and social development in the Somali region.
