CRBC, a subsidiary of CCCC, recently received two awards for the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge in Hong Kong. The project was honored with the Structural Excellence Award from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Structural Division and the International Design for Safety Awards from the Lighthouse Club. These awards commend the project's outstanding performance in technical innovation, safety and structural design, and project management.
Through innovative engineering design and construction technologies, such as the installation of a 12,000-ton main bridge using a floating method, S690 high-strength steel welding technology, and hoisting of prefabricated segment beams, the project significantly improved construction efficiency and demonstrated outstanding safety and environmental performance. Additionally, the project management fully utilized a comprehensive application system of Building Information Model (BIM), Common Data Environment (CDE), and Geographic Information System (GIS). Utilizing new technologies such as 5G, cloud technology, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D laser scanning, and UAV survey, the project achieved digitization, informatization, and automation of management and construction.
