On August 24, the completion and opening ceremony of the Tiebisou-Bouake motorway in Ivory Coast, constructed by CRBC under CCCC, took place in Bouake, Ivory Coast. The ceremony was attended by Tiemoko Meyliet Kone, Vice-President of Ivory Coast, Patrick Jerome Achi, Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, Amede Koffi Kouakou, Minister of Equipment and Road Maintenance of Ivory Coast, Amadou Kone, Minister of Transport of Ivory Coast, and thousands of local residents.
Vice President Kone emphasized in his speech that the motorway, as an important part of Ivory Coast's north-south corridor, serves as a path to development and prosperity. It holds significant importance in upgrading Ivory Coast's road network, improving travel efficiency, and promoting regional economic development.
The motorway stretches from the northern town-Tiebissou, just north of Ivory Coast's political capital Yamoussoukro, to Bouake, the country's second-largest city, covering a total length of 95.6 kilometers. It features four lanes and a designed speed of 130 km/h.
The completion of this project has created more than 2,000 employment opportunities for local residents along the route. After its opening, it will significantly enhance the road network capacity between important cities such as Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, and Bouake, promoting local economic and social development.
