Netizens enthusiastically participated in the interaction, expressing their admiration for the cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the exceptional level of automation and intelligence in Chinese ports. CCCC has made outstanding contributions to the construction of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port. Its subsidiary, ZPMC, has provided port machinery and equipment, including shore cranes, yard cranes, stacker-reclaimers, and automated terminal equipment, totaling over 500 units with a coverage rate of over 80%, for various areas in the port.
In May 2020, ZPMC adopted 5G technology on six rubber-tired gantry cranes in operation at the port, supporting the smart transformation of the port.
These efficient port equipment has helped Ningbo-Zhoushan Port become the world's first port to exceed 1 billion tons of annual cargo throughput.
