As spring comes back again, after the careful treatment of CCCC First Highway Engineering, the Horqin Grassland becomes lushly green with charming scenery.
Before the treatment, due to global climate change, overgrazing and other factors, the ecological environment of the Horqin Grassland deteriorated sharply, and the overall vegetation coverage rate dropped below 30%.
In this regard, the project team formulated a pasture-planting-oriented treatment plan, which promotes the development of local animal husbandry while restoring the ecological environment.
But how to let pastures take root and germinate on the saline-alkali land became the first difficulty in regreening the HorqinGrassland. Through the planting on the test field and analysis, the team selected the best grass species. After optimizing the sowing row distance and planting depth, the germination rate of the pastures was effectively guaranteed.
In 2022, a total of 16.2 square kilometers of pasture was planted.
After finishing the following planting tasks in 2023, the project will enter a maintenance phase and soil fertilization tasks will begin.
"In three years, the coverage rate of pastures can reach more than 90%. By then, the Horqin Grassland will revitalize with a good ecological cycle." The project director said that and can't help smiling.
