The Abay River Bridge is completed, bringing great benefits to the local area.

Recently, the Abay River Bridge, the longest road bridge with the largest span in Ethiopia, has been completed by CCCC.
The Abay River Bridge is an important passage on the Blue Nile in Bahirdar City. It is a cable-stayed bridge with two supporting towers and double cable planes. With a total length of 380 meters and a main span of 180 meters, the bridge has eight cable-bent towers and a single deck width of 24.7 meters, including a three-lane carriageway, a bicycle path, and a walkway.
During the construction period, the project team independently developed the formwork switching process between cable-stayed and cable-free sections of the bridge, improving the construction efficiency. At the same time, the project has provided thousands of jobs for the local community, effectively boosting local employment and improving the living standards of local residents.
The Abay River Bridge, which will become a new landmark of Bahirdar City, is of great significance for the economic growth of Bahirdar City and the trade increase between North and South Ethiopia.
