Total progress in Tianshan Shengli Tunnel exceeds 20,000 meters

The 22.1 km-long Tianshan Shengli Tunnel is a key in the Urumqi-Yuli Highway PPP Project in Xinjiang, and also the longest highway tunnel in the world under construction.
As of February 6, the total progress in Tianshan Shengli Tunnel has exceeded 20,000 meters, including 4,709 meters in the left hole, 4,722 meters in the right hole and 8,405 meters in the TBM middle drift. The average monthly progress of the TBM Shengli reached 320 meters.
The 22.1 km-long Tianshan Shengli Tunnel is a key in the Urumqi-Yuli Highway PPP Project in Xinjiang, and also the longest highway tunnel in the world under construction. The tunnel adopts the "three drifts + four shafts" construction method, the middle guide cave adopts TBM construction to create working platform for tunneling.
At present, the tunneling is progressing smoothly and the middle drift will be completed by the end of 2023.
