The new terminal will play a key role in cementing Bole International Airport's position as the largest gateway to Africa.

Recently, the newly-built T1 terminal of the second phase of the terminal expansion project of the Ethiopian Bole International Airport, after having successfully passed the joint acceptance of the owner and the supervisor, was officially put into operation.
The new Terminal 1 is a 2-story building at about 16,689 square meters of land area. The construction work includes both renovation and expansion, involving terminal building, decoration, steel structure, large glass curtain wall, electromechanical installation, installation and commissioning of special equipment, an outdoor parking lot, etc.
The construction of the new T1 Terminal is an important link in the construction of airport clusters in Ethiopia. After putting into service, the terminal will play a pivotal role in making the Bole International Airport a crucial transportation junction in Ethiopia and boosting the industrial and economic development of the country.
