Recently, the US magazine Engineering News-Record (ENR) announced the results of the annual selection. The Nanjing Jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge (5th Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge) designed and co-built by CCCC won the 2022 Global Best Project Awards.
The bridge is 4.1 kilometers long, with the total length of the main bridge of 1796 meters, and the highest main tower of 175.4 meters high, which is equivalent to the height of a 60-story building. It is a two-way six-lane bridge with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Being the world's first light-weight steel-concrete structure cable-stayed bridge, it is also the super-long-span cable-stayed bridge with the highest degree of assembly in China. The completion of the bridge has further improved the regional backbone road network, eased the traffic pressure across the river, and promoted the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
