Recently, the China-funded project of upgrading and rebuilding the Al-Salt/Al-Ardah Road, which is built by CCCC and other enterprises, broke ground in Jordan. Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong and Jordanian Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kasbi jointly inaugurated the groundbreaking of the project. More than 100 people attended the ceremony, including officials from relevant departments of the Jordanian government, and media outlets as well as representatives of the owner, the supervisor and CCCC.
In his speech, Chen Chuandong congratulated the smooth start of the project. He said that the project would improve the road condition, boost logistics efficiency, promote the development of tourism, industry and agriculture in Jordan, and raise the standard of living for Jordanians.
On behalf of Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, Yahya Kasbi said that the road linking Jordan's capital Amman and the Jordan Valley is of strategic significance, and it will benefit many Jordanians.
Located in northwestern Jordan, the project connects the country's capital Amman, the city of As-Salt and the Jordan Valley, with a total length of about 12.3 kilometers. After the upgrading and rebuilding, the road will be changed from two lanes to four lanes, which is of great significance to local economic development and tourism prosperity.
