Recently, the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE CA4) in Malaysia, constructed by CRBC, a subsidiary of CCCC, was opened to traffic. Fadillah Yusof, Malaysian Minister of Public Works , attended the opening ceremony.
The project has 18 bridges and a total length of 15.4 kilometers with 6 lanes. The project features Malaysia's first iconic two-story spiral ramp and is the first project in the region with precast box girders.
Since the start of the project, the project team has focused its technical efforts on simulating and refining girder erection, successfully solved the problems including small radius, girder erection in large longitudinal slope and bridge erector optimization and upgrading, achieving the closure of three rigid-frame bridges across highways and MRT light rails. The project team has gained valuable experience for the construction of same bridges through this project.
As an extension of the existing elevated highway from Ampang to Kuala Lumpur, the project links Sungai Besi, Cheras, Banten, Ampang and Ulu Kelang, heading towards the city center of Kuala Lumpur, which is of great significance to the efficient traffic circle in Kuala Lumpur and driving the economic development along the route.
