Cambodia's first road bicycle race was held from September 3 to 4 at Cambodia's Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway constructed by CRBC, a subsidiary of CCCC. The contestants praised the expressway as the widest and most beautiful track they had ever raced.
The bicycle race was held before the opening of the expressway, which allowed riders to enjoy the beautiful sceneries along the route, and people along the route could personally experience the convenience brought by the expressway.
The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, invested and constructed by CCCC in BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) mode, is the first expressway in Cambodia, connecting the capital Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville, spanning across five provinces in Cambodia, with a total length of about 187 kilometers and four lanes. After the completion of the project, the driving time between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville will be shortened from 5 hours to less than 2 hours, which will boost Cambodia's economic development.
The Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway will be officially opened to traffic on October 1.
