Recently, the main body of No.9 and No.10 berths at the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Qinzhou Port, which is constructed by CCCC, was completed, marking the completion of the new berths of China's first sea-rail intermodal container terminal.
The project is located in Beibu Gulf, Guangxi Province, including 2 100,000-ton container berths, and the annual design capacity is 1.61 million TEUs. The quay shoreline length is 783 meters, the total length of shore protection is 421 meters, and the dredging area is about 446,000 square meters.
The project is the world's first fully automated container terminal with U-shaped process layout, and the railroad container station is set behind the terminal, realizing the integrated operation and management of intermodal container terminal. After completion, it will strongly promote the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port to become an international port with a capacity of over 10 million TEUs, and form a new opening-up pattern featuring intermodal operation as well as mutual benefit between China's eastern and western regions.
