Recently, Cambodia's National Road No. 3 Construction Project, which was constructed by CRBC under CCCC, was awarded the best quality engineering in Cambodia by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia. This award is the highest honor in Cambodia's engineering and construction industry.
The total length of the project is 134.8 kilometers, which connects 5 provinces and cities including the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, and the construction started in October 2018.
On March 2, 2022, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen cut the ribbon for the opening to traffic of the National Road No. 3. He said that the highway is an important road linking the capital Phnom Penh and the southwestern coastal provinces. After the reconstruction and upgrading by the Chinese side, the road is now smooth, wide and brand new, and the transportation efficiency and safety will be greatly improved, which will benefit the economic and social development of the areas along the route.
Amid the global outbreak of COVID-19, the construction team overcame the impact of the epidemic to ensure the progress and quality of the project, and completed the project 15 months ahead of schedule.
As an important artery in Cambodia's national road network, the highway has effectively improved the local traffic conditions, further promoted the upgrading of the transportation network in the southwest of Cambodia, and played an important role in promoting the socio-economic development of the provinces along the route.
