Recently, the raft slab concrete pouring of CSCEC-built egret west tower building was completed 10 days ahead of schedule.
Located in the core area of Jimei District, Xiamen City, the project is a large commercial and shopping center which integrates high-level hotels, offices, and shops. With a total construction area of 240,000 square meters, the main construction consists of a super high-rise tower building, a shopping mall, and an three-floor basement. Among them, the main tower building has 47 floors, a construction height of 266 meters, a large raft of 3,847 square meters, and a concrete casting amount of 11,200 square meters, thus making the casting of the raft foundation the most complex and difficult with the biggest single-time casting amount.
In the construction, the project team inspects equipment and raw materials in the concrete mixing station in advance, scientifically organizes the construction, overcomes difficulties including the unsettled weather, the narrow construction site, and the complex internal supporting structure, and completes the main tower building's raft casting with high quality.
Upon completion, the building will become the tallest one on the outside area of the Xiamen Island and have great significance for local economic and social development.
