Recently, the Shebala Island dredging and reclamation project in Saudi Arabia, undertaken by CCCC’s subsidiary CHEC, was completed.

Recently, the Shebala Island dredging and reclamation project in Saudi Arabia, undertaken by CCCC's subsidiary CHEC, was completed.
Located on the coast of the Red Sea in western Saudi Arabia, the project belongs to the Red Sea Project led by the Saudi royal family. As a major regenerative tourism project in Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea Project plans to turn 50 islands and dormant volcanoes along the coast of the Red Sea into a super tourist resort similar to the Maldives. The ShebalaIsland dredging and reclamation project is one of the important basic works of the Red Sea Project. The main construction content is the primary development of Shebala Island and Umahat Islands 9-3, 9-4 and 9-5 islands, including dredging, reclamation and foundation treatment work.
Upon the completion, the Red Sea Project is expected to boost the output value of Saudi Arabia's tourism industry by 4 billion US dollars a year.
