Recently, the paving of the whole-line of Bolivian San Borja-SanIgnacio project was completed, marking the completion of project's main construction and a solid foundation for the upcoming opening-to-traffic.
The project is contracted by CHEC and Second Highway Engineering, and it is the first of its kind built by CCCC in Bolivia. As a part of Bolivian No.3 National Highway, the project is carried out in Beni. With a total length of 140.78 kilometers, the highway is constructed according to the level-II highway construction standard and passes through important agricultural and husbandry production areas.
During the construction, Head of the Bolivian Highway Administration, Minister of Public Works, Services, and Housing, CAF Bank representatives, senators from Beni, the heads of local highway administrations, and officials of the governments along the highway inspected the project many times and fully acknowledged the safety, quality, progress, environmental protection, and social responsibilities of the construction.
The project will significantly benefit local husbandry, agriculture and timber export industry, and also boost local economic development.
