Recently, Dev Anandan MS Anandan, minister of power grid development department of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), the proprietor of the Penang 275kV cross-sea transmission line project,led a team to inspect the project and participated in the inauguration of the TNB on-site office.
The delegation first took a boat to inspect the marine geological prospecting operation of the project, and learned in detail about the planning and implementation of the offshore geological prospecting operation. They expressed their appreciation to the project department for pushing forward the implementation of the project under the severe epidemic situation, and thanked all parties involved in the project for their hard work. Anandan pointed out that the Penang 275kV cross-sea transmission line project is a key project of TNB. He hoped that the project team will continue to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control, and work closely with the TNB on-site team to ensure that the project is completed on schedule.

Then Anandan attended the inauguration of the TNB on-site office, and listened to a report on the project progress and follow-up work arrangements in the conference room. He fully affirmed CCCC's technical strength, and hoped that during the implementation of the project, the project department could actively carry out technical training, do a good job in technology transfer, and make more contributions to improving the local employment rate and enhancing the skills of local employees. The two sides also watched a documentary on the Penang Second Bridge.
The 275kV cross-sea transmission line project in Penang, Malaysia started in November 2021. As of now, the bathymetric survey and submarine geophysical exploration have been completed, and the project department is steadily advancing the on-site geological survey and temporary construction work.
