The overall progress of the Bogota Metro Line 1 project has achieved gratifying progress recently. After learning about it, Claudia López Hernández, Mayor of Bogota, led a number of media to the construction side on March 16 to personally praise for the project’s progress. The general manager, technical director and supervising general manager of the proprietor, Empresa Metro de Bogota (EMB),were present.
The overall progress of the project is completed more than 20 days ahead of schedule. As of February 28, 2022, the overall progress has reached 4.19%, which is 0.33% higher than the planned progress, and the completion plan ratio is 1.1. The progress of the soft ground treatment of the depot alone has reached 21.72%, nearly three times the planned 7.86%.
In addition to the sound progress, the mayor was very gratifying for the participation of Cementos Argos S.A, a Colombian construction materials producer, in the project. With the jobs created along the line and the participation of many local enterprises, the Metro Line 1 project is gradually realizing its promise of promoting economic revival and social responsibility.
After visiting the concrete mixing station and CMC construction operations, the mayor declared to the media that the progress of Metro Line 1 is unstoppable! It is a subway project that benefits every citizen, and there is absolutely no possibility of stagnation and regression! The municipal government's affirmation of the project’s progress and its full support will create a stable external environment for the project construction, which will surely accelerate the whole process.
