Breaking the world record for the eighth time! A single quay crane provided by ZPMC can handle on average 52.7 containers per hour at the Qingdao Port Fully Automated Container Terminal in east China's Shandong Province.

The terminal, constructed in three phases, has a designed throughput capacity of 5.2 million TEUs per year. Its first and second phases went into operation in May 2017 and November 2019, respectively. ZPMC provided a total of 16 quay cranes, 38 rail mounted gantry cranes, 83 automated guided vehicles (AGVs), one stationary crane and other supporting facilities for the terminal. It spent only 22.5 months and 15.5 months respectively in the construction of the first and second phases of the project, and the single quay crane's container handling efficiency has continually broken world records, currently making the terminal the one with the highest container handling efficiency in the world.
