On March 6, the installation of the E13 pipe section of Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel marked the successful installation of all the standard pipe sections of the tunnel. So far, the number of immersed pipes installed exceeded two-thirds, with a length of 2,295 meters.
The Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel and Guangming Road Extension project, invested and constructed by CCCC, has a total length of 12.1 kilometers, of which the Dalian Bay Subsea Tunnel is 5.1 kilometers long. It is the first cross-sea immersed tunnel in North China and consists of 18 sections of immersed tubes. E13 is a standard pipe section, with a length of 180 meters, a width of 33.4 meters, a height of 9.7 meters, and a weight of about 60,000 tons. The depth of the sinking position is about 28 meters.
Upon its completion, it will be express channel connecting north and south part of Dalia, which is of great significance for alleviating traffic pressure and promoting the integrated construction of both sides of Dalian Bay.
