Recently, nine loading arms purchased for the expansion project of the Port of Skikda unloaded at the port successfully, laying a solid foundation for completing the project on schedule. The representatives of the owner SONATRACH and the supervisor were present and extended their congratulations to the project.
Facing the global shipping delays and the complex external environment, the project department actively planned and took the initiative to focus on all aspects of procurement and the supply chain management, coordinated with suppliers to overcome the impact of the epidemic to ensure timely delivery, assisted suppliers to contact local shipping companies in Algeria to solve the booking problems, and negotiated with the port authority and customs in advance to determine the plan of unloading and storage at the site, so as to avoid the second delivery of equipment after arrival and save time and costs.
In the next step, the project department will stick to on the annual targets, make good preparation in site construction management and the following equipment installation and commissioning, in a bid to make unremitting efforts to complete the project as soon as possible.
