Recently, the right hole of the tunnel No.1 of the section F3 of E60 Highway in Georgia has been completed, marking a milestone victory of the project.

The tunnel No.1 is a four-lane tunnel, with a total length of 925.8 meters in the left hole and 873.5 meters in the right hole, which is a major project of the section F3. In order to ensure the smooth completion of the tunnel, the project department has overcome difficulties, made careful and reasonable arrangements as well as many measures to ensure safe construction. The left hole will be completed in November 2021.

Georgia E60 Highway connects the capital Tbilisi to the port city Batumi, running through the east and west of Georgia. It is an important section connecting Asia and Europe. After completion, it will greatly relieve the traffic pressure of E60 Highway, greatly shorten transport time of passengers and freight between Tbilisi, Batumi and Poti, increase job opportunities, and is of great significance to Georgia and regional development. Built by CCCC, the 13.05-kilometer-long four-lane section F3 with a design speed of 100 km/hr and a bridge and tunnel ratio as high as 76.7% is a key section of the E60 Highway.
