Recently, the fully automated transformation project of Hairun container terminal in Xiamen Port undertaken by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC) started its trial operation.
Recently, the fully automated transformation project of Hairun container terminal in Xiamen Port undertaken by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC) started its trial operation.
With 719 meters of the shoreline, the Hairun terminal is able to cater to 150,000-ton container ships. At present, it is equipped with eight quay cranes and 22 tire cranes, and the designed throughput is 1.5 million TEUs.
The project is the first of its kind to upgrade the conventional operation terminal to an automated terminal. It is a benchmark project for the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the port, and is of great significance to promoting the scientific and technological progress of the industry.
