World's largest 140-meter-class pile-driving barge Yihang Jinzhuang was delivered in Nantong, east China's Jiangsu Province on January 7. The vessel can boost the efficiency of offshore construction projects such as cross-sea bridges, deep-water wharves and offshore wind farms under harsh sea conditions.
Developed and manufactured by CCCC, the floating pile driver has the world's highest pile frame, largest pile-lifting capacity, longest pile-driving length and strongest wind and wave resistance. It has a pile frame of 142 meters, roughly equal to the height of a 50-story building, a maximum working pile length of 118 meters plus the depth of water, driving piles of 700 tons in weight and six meters in diameter. The pile-driving barge is also equipped with China's domestically developed Beidou Satellite Navigation System, which will be used in navigation during voyages, providing accurate positioning during operations, and sending messages where there is no 4G signal.
