On November 24, China Harbour Engineering Company Limited (CHEC) and the Jamaican government signed the contract for the enactment of the Montego Bay Perimeter Road Project.

The project has a construction period of 44 months. Being a government spot exchange project, it adopts a design and build general contracting mode. The main construction work of the project is to build 27.2 kilometers of the enactment and the municipal roads in Montego Bay, the largest tourist city in Jamaica.

As a long-expected livelihood project for the Jamaican people, the project, after completion, will effectively alleviate the traffic congestion, floods and other problems of Montego Bay and residents along the route. It will also promote the development of Jamaica's tourism industry and bring tangible benefit to the people.
