Recently, the Chongqing Third Ring Expressway from Hechuan to Changshou, built by the Tunnel Engineering Bureau of CCCC First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd., was opened to traffic, marking the completion of the entire Chongqing Third Ring Expressway and that Chongqing is now a city with a third ring expressway.

The project is the last section of Chongqing's 427-kilometer-long Third Ring Expressway, starting from the interchange of Shaxi hub and stretching to the Jiantuowan interchange of the Chongqing-Changshou Expressway, with a total length of about 76 kilometers, a two-way four-lane design, and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.

As the project is completed and opened to traffic, the travel time between Hechuan and Changshou is shortened from 2 hours to 1 hour. It will promote the construction of one-hour commuting circle in Chongqing, and effectively promote the 21 areas of Chongqing including the downtown, new city areas and the economic development zones to be connected directly through highways.
