As of Oct. 22, 2026, passenger trips through Zhuhai Port of the bridge had reached 125 million.
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, spanning the waters of Lingdingyang, opened to traffic on Oct. 24, 2018, cutting travel time between Hong Kong and Zhuhai and Macao from around three hours to just 45 minutes and turning the vision of a "one-hour living circle" in the Greater Bay Area into reality.

More than three decades passed between the conception of the world's longest sea-crossing bridge and its opening to traffic. The bridge has transformed daily life for residents in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. As of Oct. 22, 2026, passenger trips through Zhuhai Port of the bridge had reached 125 million.
