FIDIC is a globally recognized international non-governmental organization in the engineering consulting industry. Established in 2013, the FIDIC Project Awards are widely regarded as the "Nobel Prize" of the international engineering industry. The awards recognize engineering projects worldwide that have made outstanding contributions to economic and social development.

The Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is the world's longest-span cable-stayed bridge, and the longest-span combined road-rail steel truss arch bridge. It also features four world-first designs involving its underwater stepped caisson foundations and steel-concrete composite elements. The bridge's cross-river section stretches 10.03 kilometers, including about 5.3 kilometers of road and rail sections.

The bridge opened to traffic in September 2025, cutting travel time between Changzhou and Taizhou from 80 minutes to just 20 minutes and giving a strong boost to the coordinated development of cities along the Yangtze River.
