CCCC holds first Staff Sports Meet

CCCC recently held its inaugural two-day Staff Sports Meet at the Xiong'an Sports Center in the Xiong'an New Area.
CCCC recently held its inaugural two-day Staff Sports Meet at the Xiong'an Sports Center in the Xiong'an New Area.
The event was CCCC's first comprehensive sports meet open to all employees and the largest employee sports and cultural event in the company's history in terms of participation. A total of 32 teams from more than 50 CCCC companies took to the field, with more than 1,600 Chinese and international athletes competing together.

At the opening ceremony, more than 200 employees presented an array of cultural performances, showcasing the upbeat and dynamic spirit of CCCC employees in the new era. More than 4,000 people attended the opening ceremony.
Six international employees of CCCC participated in the games. Jalene Wakgari Wakjira from Ethiopia, won both the women's 800-meter and 1,500-meter races. Her participation in this run, spanning great distances, was a highlight of the sports meet.

"It is a great honor to come to China and participate in CCCC's first Staff Sports Meet," Wakjira said in fluent Chinese after the competition. "I truly felt the vibrant energy of the Xiong'an New Area and deeply felt the warmth of my colleagues in the CCCC family." She added,"These experiences and the warmth I received are the most precious rewards of participating in the games."
As a builder of the Ethiopian National Stadium project, Wakjira knows what a stadium can mean to a city and a country. Although the games came to a successful close, her journey continues. She has returned to the Ethiopian National Stadium project site, where she continues to contribute to the landmark venue that carries the dreams of the Ethiopian people.
